We’re throwing it back today with summer vacation memories…
This first photo is from a camping trip to Virginia in 1984. Audrey clearly doesn’t approve of what Dad is putting on her plate, but I guess I (Jane) am pretty ambivalent to the whole thing!
Here we are again on vacation in 1984 (left to right, Keith, Audrey, Jane, Adam, Mom)… not sure where this one was taken, but I’m loving Keith’s tube socks! I really do love Audrey’s dress with the ties on the shoulders! I want one of those now!
Here we are at Niagara Falls in 1986. I remember being so scared the whole time! And I hated getting wet. I’d like to go back now, when I think I’ll be able to appreciate the beauty of the Falls without being so scared. (Mom and Dad, that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the cultural learning experiences you afforded us in our formative years… I was just flat-out terrified of water flowing at hundreds of thousands of gallons per second right behind me!)
This last picture is from our uncle’s (Dad’s brother’s) wedding in July 1993. Yes, it was like 100 degrees that day, and yes, that’s why we are all so greasy looking! (left to right, Keith, Jane, Mom, Audrey, Dad, Adam)

Great photos! I remember being scared at Niagara Falls too. I love the photo on the rocks of all of you!
HA! I think everyone can relate with the greasy look NOW. I’ve never been to Niagara Falls…would love to see it.
Happy TT!!!
You have the most photogenic family! And your mom… she’s such a hot mom!! (Is it ok that I say that? Ha!!)
Steph
Great pictures. We visited the Falls last year for the first time. AMAZING! But, they didn’t give us sturdy raincoats like those! We got something similar to seran wrap!
Great family vacation photo’s this week. I have never been to Niagara Falls, I would love to go though. And I agree with Steph, but Audrey looks great after three children too. I wish I could say the same…lol!!!
what a great looking family!
and forget keith’s tube socks…look at that pose – reminds me of bad senior yearbook photos.
What wonderful memories! Those photos are fantastic!
I remember going to Niagara Falls as a kid, teenager and as an adult. Each time was on the Canadian side though. I always wondered what the Falls looked like on the American side.
Lovely family. You guys look great! Actually, you guys look sooooooo “Brady Bunch-like”! 🙂

I love the pictures. I went to Niagara Falls when I was younger, but I was older than you are in that picture. I thought it looked romantic at night. You all are a great looking family.
The pix with everyone in the raincoat is too cute! I’ve never been to Niagara Falls. Maybe one day.
Great pictures! Looks like you had some good times on family vacations.
I would like one of those dresses with the tie shoulders for Little – well, maybe when she’s a bit older; right now I think she’d untie them and that wouldn’t be good. 🙂
Great pics!!! I need to scrounge up some vaca photos! And I was going to say the same thing Steph said about your mom!! LOL.
What a riot–I need to do some throwback scanning and join you girls!
Another set of fabulous photos! Thanks for the peek inside your childhood, it looks like it was fun!
such fun pics! 🙂
my family went to niagara falls when i was a kid too. i remember really wanting to buy a pair of moccasin shoes while we were there and my dad said no. :oP
You have a great-looking family, as others have mentioned. You all look very happy together!
I’m playing!
Niagara Falls is great! I went to university close by (20 minutes away) so visited there often! Great throwback pics this week – as always!!
Jane, I adore that first pic of you–you’re squeezably darling there! I’m inspired now to get off my duff and find some culture for my kids–and DO it! Doesn’t Silver Dollar City count? I mean, they do have that train robber scene and everything–that’s Wild West scary culture for sure! xoxo
[…] also haven’t been taking many new pictures lately, which makes Throwback Thursday a good fit for […]
Great pictures! My husband still wears tube socks, but not with shorts. Usually. 🙂
