This morning I taught my little grandguys all about wind speed and direction.
About gravity and flight. About all the colors of the rainbow and prisms.
About circles, spheres and geometric configurations.
About reflections.
About liquids and solids and displacement.
About the powers of our bodies, especially our lungs. And our lips (yes, lips are not just for kisses)!
About silence and wonder. And exhilaration and joy.
All this for a 25-cent bottle of bubbles.
Touching… the simple things in life! 🙂
Wow….I never knew bubbles could be so eloquent!
Isn’t it amazing the wonder that bubbles hold in little one’s eyes and minds? Miss E is a big fan.
I love how you broke all of that down. They learn so much from simple things like this, that the pressure some of us parents feel to bring out the flash cards etc, are really completely unnecessary.
Great job you!
The mind of a teacher sees way more than bubbles! I wish my mind would see that way!
I wish my mind would see that way too – and you are so eloquent!
You are a wonderful grandma! Bring on the bubbles!
This is a beautiful post!! I always knew I loved bubbles for a reason! 🙂
That is darn cute. Blowing bubbles with little ones. Did you feel like you’re his age again?
May we never grow too old to blow bubbles!! Anytime I see a child with bubbles, I always ask for a turn! lol Something so magical in the whole process:-) xox
As a homeschool mom, everything is a teachable moment 🙂 I just love the way you described it!
Sharon, you have such a wonderful way with words 🙂
And by the way, I tagged you a few days ago on my blog 🙂
Apparently we can see bubble in creative perspective.
Love the story, Sharon. You are a great grandma…
Love this!!
I love this.
Such a true grandma! Turning fun into a teaching/learning moment!
