William (my 3-year-old) woke up early this morning with Benjamin (6 months) and me.
I love these mornings because as Benjamin eats and plays, I get to spend some one-on-one time with my oldest little man, something that doesn’t always happen during the day.
This morning as we were watching JoJo on TV and seeing the sun trying to peek through the warm fog, William asked me for some Cheerios.
Easy request, right?
Well, then the conversation went like this:
“Mommy, do we even have Cheerios?”
“Yes, Honey. Remember we put 2 big boxes in the cabinet?”
“OK, Mommy. Will you go put some on my orange bowl?”
“Because I love that bowl.”
“It is a great bowl. Do you want milk?”
“No, Mommy. I’m just going to eat like a dog this morning. So no milk.”
Yes, like a dog.
I blame Jane (with sisterly love) for this influence.
