Thank you Turbo Tax, Thank you

Eww. It’s tax time.

Is there anyone else out there like me? And this time of year just sort of sneaks up (literally) out of nowhere?

I used to be that girl doing my taxes last minute and rushing off to the post office on D-DAY… oh yes, April 15th at the last possible second. Always praying I would make the deadline.

Any takers?

Or are you filing for an extension?

Well mamas (and dads)… I have to share my secret, TurboTax has saved my butt for the last few years.

Oh, yeah… it’s saved me. No pun intended (OK, maybe a little!).

I wish I could blame the fact that I forget it’s “tax time” on being a way-too-busy-mama… but really, who out there is going to have any sympathy for me? We’re ALL busy with everything and anything… so it’s not even worth using that excuse! (Plus, I don’t think the gov’t will buy it either!)

But in all seriousness, I just was reading on Intuit that the city of Chicago (all you bloggin’ Chicago mamas… heads up) tops the list of America’s most procrastinating tax city. Then New York City. Then Houston. Austin. San Francisco. San Diego. Las Vegas. San Antonio. And then Los Angeles. These are the top 10.

I was shocked not to see Boston (or Providence) on the list.

For the past 6 years my husband and I have used TurboTax to guide and get us through tax time.

When you can use the words fast, easy and convenient WITH the word TAX in the same sentence, you know you’re on to something good.

Just think about it…

No waiting in line for hours at the tax store or the post office. How good does that sound?

Just pop TurboTax software right into your computer at home, PJ’s on and all… and wy-lah!

I love how there is NO tax jargon. Just easy-to-answer questions about you and your own unique tax situation(s).

So if you’re like me and still need to get your taxes done… pick up TurboTax Software. I promise, you will love it. And you’ll be done and filed just like that!

The Pinks & Blues Girls are even doing a TurboTax Premier Software giveaway just for YOU! Email me at: audrey @ pinksandblues [dot] com to enter yourself. We will overnight the winner on Saturday evening their own TurboTax Premier disk so you will have it in time!

In my 3 1/2 years of being a mother, I have tried various attempts (and bribes) in order to get William and Alexander to eat.

They are very picky eaters.

As much as I hate to admit it… McDonald’s is sometimes just an “easy” fix (for both me and the boys!).

Well, today it wasn’t so easy.

William wanted a chocolate milkshake and a cheeseburger with no onions.

Alexander wanted a vanilla milkshake and a cheeseburger with no pickles.

(Their orders change from visit to visit!)

So William starts eating his burger and drinking his milkshake without hesitation.

Alexander. Oh, my Alexander.

He just wants the “nilk-shake.”

So I tell him, “Alex, if you want to be big and strong like Daddy and Superman, you have to eat some burger. That’s how you’ll get muscles.”

He looks at me. Ponders my statement.

Then answers me matter-of-factly, “OK. Then I will just stay small.”

Ahhh. Perfect logic.
