Our regular Mom Generations (formerly Pinks & Blues) readers will notice something different around the site.

First of all, we will no longer be updating the Pinks & Blues Girls blog – but don’t worry, we’re still blogging, and all our old posts can still be found here!

From here on out, we’re just going to be organizing our blogging differently… and each of our blogs will be separate:

Audrey can be found here, and she will continue to blog about being a girly-girl fashionista who moved from the big city back to suburbia to raise her 4 boys under 4 years old.

Jane can be found here, and she will continue to blog about life as a no-longer-a-newlywed dog mom who loves being an auntie and is learning to be more domesticated wife (because she wants to be).

Sharon can be found here, and she will continue to blog about life as a former teacher who is now a grandmother to 8 (soon-to-be 9) grandchildren 7 years old and under… and the joys and tips and secrets she has to share.

Also, you can find Mama Loves Giveaways, Smart Mama and Celebrity Scoop in their new locations by clicking the links.

Please update your feedreaders so you can (hopefully!) all enjoy our blogs from our new locations.

You may encounter some kinks as your navigate through the new site, so please just bear with us as everything is straightened out.

We will be having a GREAT contest soon to celebrate Mom Generations launch, so stay tuned!!

sag-carpet-angela-kinsey21.jpgActress Angela Kinsey, who plays the uptight accountant Angela Martin on NBC’s hit show “The Office,” has a lot to be excited about this year!

Not only did the entire cast of “The Office” win the SAG Award for “Best Ensemble Cast” last month, but Angela is expecting her first baby – a girl! – in May!

We at Pinks & Blues have chosen Angela as the celebrity honoree for our Pinks & Blues Virtual Baby Shower!

We will shower her with over 60 amazing gifts from our wonderful Baby Shower sponsors – and we are holding a contest for another lucky mama-to-be to win the exact same Baby Shower gifts that Angela will receive (worth over $2,000.00)!

We recently had a virtual chat with Angela! Read on for our full interview with this smart, funny and talented mama-to-be!

Pinks & Blues: We hear you’re having a girl! Congratulations! Did you have any “girl” intuition before you found out, or was it a total shock?

Angela Kinsey: In most of my dreams, my baby was a girl. So maybe that was a form of intuition!

P&B: You look incredible! We guess that debunks the Old Wives’ tale that “girls drain your beauty!” How has your “pre-event” beauty regimen changed now that you’re pregnant? (Can you still get your shoes on by yourself!?)

Angela: Ha! This question made me laugh because for the SAG Awards I had to have my hair and makeup gals fasten my high heel straps! I couldn’t reach them! My beauty regimen other than that hasn’t changed. Well maybe there is more snacking!

P&B: We miss “The Office!” What have you been doing to keep busy during the writer’s strike?

Angela: Well being pregnant has kept me busy. There is so much I want to do to my little fixer upper house before the baby comes. I feel like there are not enough hours in the day!

P&B: Do you have “Mom jeans” ready for when you come home from the hospital!?

Angela: Yikes! Mom Jeans! Ummm, no. My Mom, the fabulous Bertie Kinsey, is an amazing seamstress. She quilts and sews and is so crafty. We call her the Southern Martha Stewart! For Christmas I brought home a bunch of my old jeans and she cut out the front of them and put a softy stretchy material for my expanding belly. That’s working for now. Thanks Mom!

P&B: OK, the most important question of all… were you rooting for the Patriots or the Giants? (And remember we’re from New England!!)

Angela: Now ladies, I love New England and that foxy Tom Brady, but my hubby grew up outside of New York, so sorry….we are a Giants house! I mean, I’m really a Cowboys fan, but for this Super Bowl I was rooting for NY. 🙂

ANGELA KINSEY of “The Office” on NBC!

Angela, who plays uptight Dunder Mifflin accountant Angela Martin on the NBC show, and her husband, TV writer Warren Lieberstein, are due to have their first baby in May.

They are beyond excited!

And we are beyond excited to have Angela as the celebrity honoree for our Pinks & Blues Virtual Baby Shower, and we’re so happy to announce the news!

Angela is smart, funny and feisty… such a great role model for mamas-to-be. We love her on “The Office” and thought she was hilarious on Thank God You’re Here.

Angela’s television credits include “All of Us,” “Run of the House,” “King of the Hill,” “Mad TV,” “Fire Me Please,” “Spy TV,” “Step by Step” and “The Blame Game.” Her feature film credits include the soon to be released “Tripping Forward” and short film “Career Suicide.”

Angela has been a member of The ImprovOlympic Theater for the past seven years. She has performed with several of the main stage troupes including “The Armando Show,” and the all-female improv show “Bitch Planet.” She has written and performed several of her own shows, including “Tiny Blonde,” “Linz & Kinz,” and was a featured member of the sketch show “Hot Towel,” directed by comedian Dom Irrera.

Originally from Texas, Angela grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia, and still speaks the language. She graduated from Baylor University, and currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their two cats.

Her birthday is June 25th… ironically enough, my (Audrey’s) due date with my 4th son (this pregnancy is what started the whole Virtual Baby Shower idea, after all)!

Again, we at Pinks & Blues are so honored to have Angela as our celebrity mama-to-be to shower with the fabulous items from our fantastic Virtual Baby Shower sponsors and vendors!

And we are just as excited about showering you! So if you’re a mama-to-be due between May 1st and August 1st (or know someone who is) nominate yourself (or the mama-to-be) to receive all the same fabulous gifts that Angela is receiving… gifts from these wonderful companies (and we’re adding to the list daily!):

Actress Shanna Moakler (Crowned, Entourage, Dancing with the Stars, Meet the Barkers, Pacific Blue, The Wedding Singer) recently chatted exclusively with the Pinks & Blues Girls!

Shanna is currently starring in Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants (she held the title of Miss USA in 1995) on The CW with Carson Kressley and Cynthia Garrett.

Shanna shares with us what her family did for the holidays (including how she and her husband, drummer Travis Barker, celebrate their youngest daughter’s December 24th birthday), where she likes to shop, her decision to go vegetarian, her future plans and more.

Read on for our chat with this beautiful, down-to-earth star!

Pinks & Blues: You have a lot of exciting projects going on right now! TV shows, appearances, photo shoots, interviews… what do you love most about your work?

Shanna Moakler: I love being in front of the camera. When I was a child I used to watch old musicals like Singin’ in the Rain or The Easter Parade and I thought, “I want to do that!” I loved them because they did everything! They sang, danced, acted and modeled. And now I get the chance!

P&B: How was Christmas for your kids (Atiana, 8; Landon, 4; Alabama, 2)?

Shanna: My kids and I spent a fun day at Disneyland and watched the holiday fireworks and parade! Then, of course, family flew in, and we made gumdrop trees and spent a warm, wonderful present-filled day at home!

P&B: Do you do anything to let little Alabama (born on December 24, 2005) celebrate Christmas and her birthday separately?

Shanna: I celebrate Alabama’s birthday at “the half” (at 1 and 1/2 and 2 and 1/2) so she has her own special day and people aren’t burnt out from the holiday!

P&B: What are some of your favorite places to shop for your kids? How about for yourself?

Shanna: I shop for the kids at the Gap! They grow so fast! I have 3 kids, so I’d spend a fortune otherwise! And I like the Gap Kids clothes. I also get some specialty pieces at Fred Segal or Kitson Kids. As for myself, I like to shop everywhere! Boutiques, mostly!

P&B: You recently decided to go vegetarian. What made you make that decision and what has been the hardest part?

Shanna: My husband is a veggie and I always wanted to try it. Our first step was making our entire family go “organic.” I only wish we had done it sooner! I also read a book called “Skinny Bitch”, which opened my eyes to cruelty to animals, and that was it! It hasn’t been that hard for me… Los Angeles offers lots of great alternatives!

P&B: You held a poll on your MySpace page for your fans to help you name your new cat. You seem to be really great to your fans. How important are they to you?

Shanna: My fans are amazing! That even feels weird for me to say, “My fans!” I guess I don’t look at them as fans, but as friends or supporters. I didn’t come from a famous family or have a Hollywood edge. I had to work and audition and get rejected 1,000 times, so I appreciate when someone says they liked something I did. Because without them I wouldn’t be able to make the next small step to the next project. And I am very far from where I’d like to be work-wise, so they make what it is I like to do possible.

P&B: What are your plans for 2008?

Shanna: Hopefully to get more scripted projects! I really love reality TV and there are talks about a second season for Crowned… but I’d love to do more film!

Don’t forget to catch Shanna on Crowned, Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW!

The other night my girlfriend and I were talking about Celebrity Moms.

With all the crap that goes on in Hollywood, and all the hit and misses with parenthood, my friend and I were playing the “Well, if I were a kid, I would want ______ to be my mother” game.

And, of course, we had the “Can you imagine if ______ was your mother” (ahem… Britney) conversation.

So… let’s see if you agree or not.

Here is my top 10 list of Celebrity Moms I wouldn’t mind having as my mother…

1) Reese Witherspoon
I just like the fact that she seems to be with her kids a lot. That’s kind of, you know, important when you’re a parent.

2) Courteney Cox
Not only is this woman gorgeous, but I love how she is out and about with Coco all over the place. And how cool would it be to have Jennifer Aniston as your Godmother?

3) Brooke Shields
I love this woman. She’s smart. She’s talented. She’s in love with her husband. And she absolutely loves her 2 little girls more than anything. I just commend her on her journey to recovery and just being honest about her Post-partum Depression.

4) Goldie Hawn
OK, have you seen where these people live? It’s GORGEOUS. And she’s crazy and zany and just looks like a whole lotta FUN! I mean, to let your grandson have hair that long and not say a thing… she’s a lady!

5) Jennifer Garner
She’s one of my top! She wears jeans. Sneakers. No make-up. And she’s always out and about in a non-celebrity way. And she’s married to one of my favorite Boston Red Sox fans.

6) Angie Harmon
Basically for her genes. And for her jeans. This woman always looks immaculate.

7) Kelly Ripa
Her energy. Her style. Her humor. I’ve seen her a few times out in NYC with her kids. She says “hi” to people. She is always with her kids. And she is just a “normal” mother. That’s pretty cool. (Not to mention her husband is gorgeous.)

8 ) Julia Roberts
She obviously puts her kids first. To give up her career (when it was hot) and stay at home, not even in Hollywood… to raise them? Very cool.

9) Tina Fey
I just would be laughing all day. All night. This woman ROCKS.

10) Angelina Jolie
Purely for my adopted Dad, Brad Pitt. If he wouldn’t mind adopting a 29 year old. With 3 kids. And a husband. I’d be there. Oh, I would be there. Not to mention, being able to travel the world.

I’m going to do a bonus one here…

Kimora Lee Simmons
I’m addicted to her show. I wouldn’t mind having my own “James”. My own estate. My own anything-and-everything-I-want. I can’t say that would be a bad thing. I promise I wouldn’t allow myself to get a spoiled attitude!
