I just loved this idea (saw it over at Major Bedhead’s blog), for The Great Mofo Delurk Day, started by Schmutzie.
I know a lot of other bloggers get frustrated about this, too. Some days we receive up to 1,500 hits… but receive very few comments. Not that I think everything we say is so interesting or compelling that your fingers just.can’t.stop.typing in our comment box.
But getting a notification of a new comment is like opening a beautifully wrapped gift on Christmas morning. It makes you happy. So dontcha wanna throw us a bone?
Come on, delurk thyself and comment today. It will make us smile – and won’t that make you happy?

I don’t think this is delurking for me. I’ve commented. But I do come by pretty much every day to read. So I’m confessing volume of visits, if not actual reality of visits.

I comment occassionally but I do read often. I don’t comment on people’s blog that don’t stop by, even occassionally, and comment on mine.
